Niisiis "East Coast All-Stars" võistkond ka teada. Tänane pressiteade:
With one of his best groups of talent in the six years that he has run the program, Lycoming College head coach Guy Rancourt will coach the East Coast All-Stars through a four-game stretch in Estonia from Aug. 4-7. The all-stars will convene in Williamsport on Sunday, July 31, before heading to the capital of Estonia, Tallinn, on the Baltic Sea, for the tournament, which features the national teams of Georgia, Estonia and Sweden.
Rancourt has recruited some fantastic talent for the cup, as honorable mention All-Big Ten selections Matt Gatens and Bryce Cartwright of Iowa as well as third-team All-Big 12 selection Rodney McGruder of Kansas State are joined by Brandon Triche of Syracuse, who was named to the Wooden Award Preseason Top 50 list in 2010-11.
Other power conference help will come from Purdue’s Anthony Johnson, Syracuse’s Baye Mousa Keita, Maryland’s Pe’Shon Howard, Wisconsin’s Mike Bruesewitz, Notre Dame’s Jack Cooley and Minnesota’s Elliott Eliason.
Rancourt, the 2010 D3hoops.com East Region Coach of the Year, will be joined on the coaching staff by fourth-year Lycoming assistant coach Mark Marino and Mike Jones, the head coach at DeMatha Catholic (Md.) High School.
The all-stars will arrive in Tallinn on Tuesday, Aug. 2 and after a day of practice and sightseeing, the team will play an exhibition on Thursday, Aug. 4, before beginning the Four Nations Cup on Friday, Aug. 5 with a game against Georgia’s top national team. On Saturday, the team will take on Estonia before facing Sweden in the final game on Sunday.
