Tsiteerin BBL-ist:
Based on the SEB BBL Regulation of this season the Challenge Cup competition is played out in three different phases:
• the Regular season;
• the Play-offs;
• the Final Four.
The first phase of Regular season was finished on Saturday, on January 17th.
The results of all games are valid for the next phase of Regular season.
3 the best teams placed 1-3 from each group will qualify for Group C – VEF Riga, Sakalai, Dolphins (from Group A) Kaunas Triobet, Neptunas, Aiscia (from Group B).
3 teams placed 4-6 from each group will qualify for Group D – Alytus, Zemgale, Tallinna Kalev, TTU, Keizarmezs and Liepajas Lauvas.
2 teams placed 7-8 from each group are finish this competition. They are – Techasas, Valga Welg, Suduva, ASK Buki.
Above listed 6 teams in Group C and 6 teams in Group D will play in a round-robin format (each team faces each team twice, home and away in their own group) only with new teams of the group.
All 6 teams from Group C and 2 best teams from Group D will participate in the Play-offs where teams will play each other home and away, with the overall cumulative score determining the winner of the pair. The teams with the higher rankings of the Regular season will play the second game at home.
The winners of the Play-offs will qualify for the Final Four phase.

EDIT: Nüüd on kaks kuuest gruppi kokku pandud ning klubid jätkavad oma saadud võitudega. Mängude tulemusi: VEF 92:85 Neptunas, Alytus 73:84 Liepajas (Alytuse poolt oli taas Varnelis hoos: 24p 17 lp 5rs), Kaunase Triobet 66:73 Dolphins (Vene sai 7 minutit mängida ja sai 3 lp), Aisciai 78:59 Dolphins.
