AJ Milano confirmed on Monday the addition of power forward Oleksiy Pecherov (213, 25) for the next season. Pecherov arrives from the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA, where he averaged 4.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in 45 appearances last season. Pecherov made his debut in 2003 with BK Politekhnik Kharkov of his native Ukraine, and in 2004 he moved to BC Kyiv to win the Ukranian League. In November of 2005 he travelled to France to play with Paris Basket Racing and he became one of the leaders of the team. In 2006 he was drafted by the Washington Wizards but he played the next season again in BC Kyiv. It was in the 2007-08 season that he crossed the pond to play with the Wizards, where he stayed for two seasons brfore joining the Wolves. "I am really happy with his arrival" coach Piero Bucchi said. "He is a power forward with good shot, also from the three-point range, and guarantees us physical presence in the paint. He is a kid in his basketball maturity."

Australian forward Nathan Jawai (207-C-86) is reportedly leaving the NBA to play in Europe. Local media has reported that the former Cairns Taipan has signed a deal with Serbian club KK Partizan, which has won nine consecutive national titles. Jawai's career in the US has been interrupted by a heart condition and limited minutes, since he was picked in the second round of the 2008 NBA Draft
